IGA to offer new course in 2014
Published:  04 December, 2013

The RMI's Standards and Certification business (RMISC) has received IMI Awards Approved Centre status, allowing the Independent Garage Association to plan a new course for 2014.

The status allows all associations under the RMI umbrella to benefit, while the Independent Garage Association (IGA) will now be able to have their training programs verified and quality assured by the IMI, helping it to improve industry standards through education.

Stuart James, IGA Director, commented: "With the success of our current training scheme and the new IMI Awards status, the IGA will now expand its training offer to new vehicle diagnostics. This will be launched in 2014."

The IGA has also announced it has frozen its membership prices for the third year in a row.

James added: "Due to streamlining of the business and cutting costs in other areas, the association is able to pass on these savings to its members. Also through listening to our members we are able to offer them a package that fits their needs perfectly.

"Membership has grown by 4% this year and retention is at an all-time high, proving that the IGA is the leading trade body for independent garages."
