TechMan has launched a series of free weekly online training webinars for garage businesses. The sessions, hosted within the GMS itself, are intended to help independents make the most of the system.

Lead TechMan Trainer and Webinar Host, Andy Jackson said: “Workshops that make the switch to a garage management system are doing so to streamline their business and our webinar programme is just another way to ensure everyone who uses TechMan is fully aware of how to best adopt the various aspects within our system.

“We’ve developed the programme of free training content, available to all garages that use TechMan, so they can properly embrace and enjoy all of the benefits it has to offer. According to Davina, the session on TechView had the biggest impact on technicians at the North Yorkshire garage.

TechView enables electronic job cards to be delivered immediately to technicians via a tablet. Davina commented: “We had been experiencing slight resistance among some of our technicians who were struggling to grasp how to properly use their tablets but now they’ve seen exactly what they need to do, how to do it and the value it has for the overall business, they’re now all using their tablets without problem.

“We had a chat with one of the guys the day after a TechMan webinar and he told us that he was surprised at how easy it is to use. The training gave him the support he needed to be able to confidently use the tablet.”

Other recent topics covered include step-by-step guidance on how to best use TechMan’s integrated digital Kanban board, an overview on tracking purchase orders, returns and credits, along with the customer portal for estimates and job authorisation.

In conclusion, TechMan’s Andy Jackson said: “We’ve been getting some really positive feedback too. Garages like Londesborough Motor Services are reaping the rewards and it’s fantastic to see.”
