FER appoints new Operations Manager
Published:  22 February, 2022

The Federation of Engine Re-manufacturers (FER) has appointed Rod Bennett as its new Operations Manager, replacing Owen Laurenson who has moved on after three years in the role.

With 30 years of automotive industry experience, Rob’s career has been focused on technical engineering, with experience as an independent vehicle engineer and assessor, plus roles for Motorsport UK and DEKRA.

Commenting on his new role, Rob said: “I am looking forward to helping lead and shape efforts to deliver improved value for our members. As the automotive industry goes through one of its biggest evolutions against the backdrop of electrification, it’s a really exciting time to join as we negotiate the challenges posed.

FER President David Eszenyi added: “The industry is set for the biggest evolution in its history with the increasing take up of electric vehicles and strengthened efforts to make the remanufacturing industry more sustainable. Rod brings a meticulous eye to the role and is perfectly placed to stand up for the industry and our federation’s members as we tackle these challenges together.”
