A slice of the best: TPS Croydon makes homeless charity donation
Published:  04 April, 2023

A tasty prize resulting from a sales win recently inspired TPS to help a local homeless charity.

Following coming first in an internal sales competition by selling the most braking, suspension and lighting parts during National Pie week, the TPS Croydon centre staff won a visit from the Pie Van, which provided a free, unlimited, lunch.

Instead of eating themselves, the team opted to swap their culinary winnings for the corresponding worth of essential food items, and then donated it all to the Sutton Night Watch homeless project.

Damien Simmons, Centre Manager at TPS Croydon, said: “The team did well to win the incentive and the Pie Van would have been a fantastic reward for their efforts. While it would have been nice to tuck into some tasty pies, everyone agreed it would be even better to help the local community, so we decided to donate the prize to the Sutton Night Watch, homeless project. It was a great all-round effort from the team, and I am really proud of them.”

Andy Fulker, Chief Executive Director. Sutton Night Watch, added: “The donation that we received has been a great help to us as we have been able to give out 150-200 food parcels a week to the vulnerable people who attend the Sutton Night Watch project.”
